Meet The Team
Nicole is a speech language pathologist and founder of SpeechRise. She brings to SpeechRise over 10 years of experience specializing in pediatrics. She has gained valuable evaluation and therapeutic experience in both the school and hospital settings over the course of her career. She has a strong background in motor speech therapy and is level two P.R.O.M.P.T trained. Nicole is a well versed feeding therapist, who uses her Sequential Oral Sensory Approach to feeding (S.O.S) training to help treat picky eaters and problem feeders. Nicole recently completed an intensive course in Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders, improving her abilities to work with children and adults with OMD’s. She continues to hold her LSVT certification as well, targeted for patients with voice disorders. Nicole treats a variety of patients with articulation delays and disorders, apraxia of speech, expressive and receptive language delays, and feeding difficulties and disorders, cognitive-communication disorders and neurological communication disorders. She has many years of experience in augmentative and alternative communication and is well versed in TobiiDynavox and PRC communication systems. She has worked with AAC users throughout her career and is adept at treating switch and eye-gaze users.
Nicole is licensed and registered with the State of New York in Speech-Language pathology and is an active member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). She holds a Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Molloy College and a Bachelors of Science from Gettysburg College.

Caitlin graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology and earned her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from St. John’s University. She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in New York State and Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). She also holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Caitlin has experience providing services in settings that include special education schools and private practices. She is passionate about providing client centered treatment and helping her clients reach their highest speech and language potential. Caitlin believes in working closely with family members to facilitate optimal progress outside of the therapy session
Samantha received her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from Yeshiva University and her Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology from Touro College. She is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist in New York State and Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). She also holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech- Language Association (ASHA). She is trained in Wilson Reading System, which provides assistance in individuals with language-based learning disabilities, such as dyslexia. Samantha has experience providing services to school aged children with a range of communication disorders including: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Articulation, Fluency, Receptive/ Expressive Language Disorders, and Pragmatic Language Disorders. Samantha is passionate about helping others communicate and reach their full potential
Melissa received her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Brooklyn College. She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in New York State and Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). She also holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language Association (ASHA). Melissa has experience providing speech and language services to children with a range of communication disorders. Melissa makes speech therapy a dynamic experience for children by developing customized treatment plans for each individual. Melissa specializes in treating children with receptive and expressive language delays, phonological disorders and articulation disorders
Gina is a New York State licensed speech-language pathologist, who holds her Teacher of Students with Speech-Language Disabilities (TSSSLD) and Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She holds a Masters of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from New York University and Bachelors of Arts from Loyola University Maryland in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Gina specializes in articulation and phonological disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, literacy development, and social-pragmatic language disorders. She has experience providing services in elementary schools, early intervention, and private practices. Gina recently became P.R.O.M.P.T. trained and looks forward to utilizing this approach in her speech sessions. Gina is passionate about providing individualized, client-centered treatment and is dedicated to working closely with family members and other service providers to encourage generalization of skills outside the therapy session. Gina enjoys making therapy fun, motivating, and client directed by incorporating client interests, crafts, and interactive games when targeting treatment goals.
Jill is a speech language pathologist who joins the SpeechRise team with more than 25 years of experience working with both children and adults in a variety of settings. She specializes in speech sound disorders, language-based learning deficits, auditory processing, executive functioning skills and twice exceptional students. Jill is P.R.O.M.P.T trained and also trained in the Orton Gillingham reading program. She received a Bachelors degree at the University of Michigan and a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Columbia University’s Teachers College. Jill is certified and licensed in both New York and New Jersey and holds a TSSLD (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities) and a Certificate of Clinical Competency through ASHA (American Speech Language Hearing Association). Jill finds it valuable to use a team approach when working with children to optimize incorporating information obtained from all providers. Jill resides on the upper east side and enjoys spending time in The Hamptons in the summer
Sydney has experience working in a variety of settings with both pediatrics and adults. In the outpatient and inpatient settings, Sydney has treated adults with Aphasia, swallowing disorders, and Dementia. She has experience treating children ranging from preschool to high school in both the outpatient and special education settings with a variety of communication based disorders including: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Receptive/Expressive Language Disorders, Articulation Disorders, Pragmatic Language Disorders, and children who utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication.Sydney received her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida and her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Boston University. She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in New York State and Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). She also holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Sydney is passionate about working closely with families to support carryover of communication skills to help children develop and communicate.
Maura is a speech-language pathologist with experience working with children and adults with disabilities and varying medical complexities. She is dedicated to working closely with clients and their families and is an empathetic listener. Maura is trained in the SOS Approach to feeding therapy, as well as Beckman Oral Motor Therapy. She is New York State licensed and holds her Teacher of Students with Speech-Language Disabilities (TSSLD), as well as Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Maura received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Hofstra University in Speech-Language Pathology. She is a member of ASHA’s Special Interest Group 12 for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), as well as the Medical SLP Collective.
Dalila is a bilingual speech-language pathologist working with children who speak both English and Montenegrin. Dalila has experience working in general and special education schools, private practices, and out-patient centers. She treats a variety of pediatric and adult patients with expressive and receptive language delays, articulation delays and disorders, and cognitive-communication disorders. Dalila is passionate about providing client centered treatment to culturally- and linguistically-diverse populations, and believes in a collaborative approach to promote optimal progress.She received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Hearing Science and Childhood Education from CUNY Brooklyn College and her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Long Island University. She is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist in New York State and a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities with a Bilingual Extension in Serbo-Croatian (TSSLD-BE). She also holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language Association (ASHA).
Selver is a bilingual speech language pathologist who works with both English and Turkish speaking children. Selver is experienced working with various speech and language disorders, including expressive and receptive language, phonological processes, articulation, reading/writing skills, apraxia, dysarthria, and aphasia. Selver is also certified in Lively Letters, a research-based program to teach children letter to sound correlation effectively. Her upbeat and encouraging guidance is appreciated by the clients she serves. Selver holds her Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCCs) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), New York State Speech-Language Pathology license, certificate as a Teacher Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD), and is certified in Bilingual Education Assessment – Turkish (BEA). She received her B.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Brooklyn College – City University of New York and her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Long Island University – Brooklyn.
Casey received her Bachelor's Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from University at Buffalo and her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Brooklyn College. She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in New York State, Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD), and holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language Association (ASHA). Casey has experience providing speech and language services to children with a wide range of communication abilities and disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Intellectual Disability, ADHD, Emotional Disturbance, Expressive/Receptive Language Disorders, Articulation/Phonological Disorders, and Pragmatic Language Disorders. Casey works with children who communicate verbally and with children who utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication Systems. Casey is passionate about providing individualized treatment, making speech sessions fun and engaging, and about the importance of working with families to increase carryover of these new skills into settings outside of therapy sessions.
Emily is a pediatric speech and language pathologist whose goal is to empower children through improving their communication skills. Emily earned her undergraduate degree in Communicative Disorders and Sciences from SUNY Geneseo, followed by a Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology from St. John’s University. With eight years of experience as an elementary school-based speech language therapist, Emily specializes in addressing receptive and expressive language delays, articulation and phonological disorders, reading disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD and Learning Disabilities. Emily is trained in several evidence-based reading and language intervention programs, and brings a warm and holistic approach to therapy, blending structure with play to naturally motivate her clients and target their goals in a way that is most engaging for them. Emily believes in the importance of collaboration and maintains open communication with families to ensure each child's success. Based primarily in Astoria, Queens, Emily also enjoys spending summers with her family in the Hamptons, where she grew up
Sanaa is a bilingual Speech Language Pathologist who works with both English and Hindi speaking children. Sanaa graduated from University of Sydney, Australia, with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Speech Pathology and holds licensure in the states on New York and Connecticut. Additionally, she has her Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCCs) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Sanaa is experienced in providing speech, language and feeding/swallowing services to children and adults in a variety of settings. Sanaa believes in proactively collaborating with parents and families to produce optimal results for children attending speech and language therapy. Sanaa is based on the Upper East Side of Manhattan where she lives with her family and enjoys providing speech services to her local community
Stacia received her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the Syracuse University and her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Hofstra University. She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in New York State and Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). She also holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She holds additional certifications in Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding and PROMPT. Stacia is passionate about working closely with parents to help their children meet their speech and language goals.
