March Madness Toddler Tournament- The Winners Are In!
Hey there!
If you’re on our email list or following along on socials (@speechrise), you know we just wrapped up an amazing giveaway for toddler parents! We hosted the March Madness Toddler Tournament, where parents filled out a game bracket featuring classic toddler behaviors—think tantrums, food refusals, potty training hiccups, midnight wake-ups, and endless “I do it’s!!!” Oh, and let’s not forget SNACKS, SNACKS, and more SNACKS!
Parents guessed which behavior would “win” in their house—like asking for snacks vs. a potty training mishap. Each round, the winning behavior moved forward until every bracket had its ultimate champion.
This was our first giveaway of its kind, and we were thrilled to gift three winners Starbucks gift cards and discount codes to my signature course, The Tiny Talker Playbook.
Toddler parents loved this tournament, and I have to admit, I played right alongside them. My bracket winner? Snacks, obviously! In my house, we don’t go more than 30 minutes without a snack request!
What I loved most about this tournament was how it brought us toddler parents together. For a moment, we looked at our kids’ behaviors through a lens of fun—rather than frustration. I know how hard it is to have your child melting down on the floor while you’re barely holding it together. But over the past few weeks, those BIG toddler emotions felt just a little lighter because, hey—I gave myself points in my bracket for guessing right!
So here’s my challenge to you: even though the tournament is over, keep awarding yourself points every single day on this parenting journey. Being a toddler parent is HARD. Our little ones are constantly pushing for independence, and as parents, it’s our job to find that balance—as difficult as it is! And if you’re feeling like you need more support, that’s okay too. I’m here for you!
So much of what we experience as toddler parents ties back to speech and language development—tantrums, not following directions, “not listening,” picky eating…the list goes on. If you ever have questions about your toddler’s speech development or suspect a speech delay, feel free to email me at nicole@speechrise.com. I’m here to help!
